This Privacy Policy explains how CELEVARA ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data when you use CELEVARA at https://www.celevara.app and in our mobile apps. We process personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address and/or mobile number, and sign-in identifiers from Google or Firebase Authentication.
- Invitation content: names, event dates and venues, messages, photos and logos you upload, and your choices of design, language and music.
- Guest responses: when you share an invitation page with RSVP, the names, attendance and messages your guests submit.
- Orders: order details, amounts, invoice numbers and payment status. Card, UPI and bank details are collected directly by Razorpay, Google Play or the App Store — we never see or store them.
- Device and usage data: app version, device type, language, crash reports, push-notification tokens and basic analytics.
2. How we use it
- To create, render, deliver and host your invitations.
- To process payments, issue invoices and provide support.
- To send login codes, receipts, "video ready" notices and, if you allow notifications, festival and offer reminders.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and fix errors.
- To improve our designs and features using aggregated, non-identifying statistics.
We do not sell your personal data and do not use your photos for advertising.
3. Service providers
We share data only as needed to run the Service, with providers bound by confidentiality and security obligations:
- Google Firebase — sign-in, analytics, crash reports and push notifications.
- Razorpay — website payments. Google Play / Apple App Store — in-app payments.
- Cloudflare — secure storage and delivery of photos and videos.
- Zoho ZeptoMail — transactional emails.
- Anthropic — only if you use "Write with AI", the event details you enter are sent to generate wording.
- Our hosting providers, which run the servers that render videos and serve the website.
We may also disclose data when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
4. Retention
We keep your account and invitations while your account is active so you can download and share them. Order and invoice records are kept as required by tax law. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, projects and uploads within 30 days, except records we must retain by law.
5. Your rights
You can access and correct your details in the app, download your videos, and delete your account from Profile → Delete account. You may also write to us to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate another person to exercise your rights. We respond within 30 days.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to our systems is restricted, passwords are hashed, and stored secrets are encrypted.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect children's data except as part of an invitation created by a parent or guardian (for example, a child's birthday invitation).
8. Cookies
The website uses only essential browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your language. Analytics is used to understand app usage in aggregate.
9. Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date.
